Hi
I thought
I'd show
you a
little
mod I
made to
my beloved
XBOX
Basically
this came
about
when all
my mates
got the
idea of
getting
panels
cut in
there
PC's so
as they
could
highlight
the guts
of there
pc with
a neon
or similar.
Being
an XBOX
nut I
wanted
one inside
mine so
as that
it could
shine
through
the air
vents
and look
mad at
night.
Sadly
due to
space
restrictions
inside
the box
I found
that the
light
would
have to
be mounted
on the
exterior.
I decided
to place
mine on
the front
below
the Joypad
ports.
As the
light
is a little
wide it
elevate
the XBOX
a little
but this
is great
as it
lets the
light
shine
under
the XBOX
and creates
a mad
effect
on the
walls
at night.
Originally
I had
the ON/OFF
switch
fitted
permanently
on inside
the box,
But after
a few
days my
eyes were
taking
a beating
and so
I mounted
it by
my modchip
so as
to control
it.
The light
is great
because
now u
can play
games
in the
dark and
when you
want to
change
discs
just flick
the switch
and you
have a
bright
enough
area to
see what
your doing.
Installation
is quite
simple
(sorry
no pics
I lost
my Screwdriver)
Basically
drill
or glue
the light
to the
front
of the
box
Feed the
cable
frm the
light
through
the air
vent and
through
the metal
casing
to the
left of
the box
so as
that it
pokes
out and
can be
connected
to the
PCB.
Next connect
the power
connector
before
the HDD
and feed
the wire
the same
way as
the light
to the
PCB.
And there
U have
your light
is ready

PS
I would
show you
the light
working
but I
dropped
the box
and blew
the bulb
while
taking
pics for
you :(
Any Queeries
