How to make my modded Xbox safe for Xbox LIVE if bios only boots xboxdash.xbe (v0.1)

1.
You need
to have
a switch
for your
Modchip.
This is
always
required
for any
chip except
the Xodus/Matrix
which
can switch
off automatically.
On the
Enigmah
you would
need to
put a
switch
disconnecting
the wires
15 and
21, on
the Xecuter
it is
the only
cable
there
is. There
are other
tutorials
on how
exactly
to do
this.
Just look
them up.
2. Make
sure your
Xbox TSOP
is NOT
flashed.
If it
IS, try
to flash
it with
the original
BIOS if
you can.
3. Make
sure that
you have
a working
Evolution
X dashboard
on your
C: drive
of the
Xbox (again,
if you
donno
what I
am talking
about,
check
out the
other
tutorials)
4. Connect
your Xbox
to the
PC using
an FTP
client
(I recommend
FlashFXP).
5. Rename
your "xboxdash.xbe"
to "1evolution.xbe"
6. Rename
your "msdash.xbe"
back to
"xboxdash.xbe"
(not needed
if you
have a
cracked
bios that
boots
a different
file then
xboxdash.xbe
(like
evoxdash.xbe
or yboxdash.xbe)).
Now you
should
be at
a stage
where
you can
switch
off your
modchip
using
the switch
and the
Xbox will
boot using
the original
Bios and
the original
MS dashboard.
This is
what we
need for
Xbox LIVE.
Now we
need to
access
Evolution
X somehow:
For this
case we
need to
make a
Bootdisc.
7.You
will need
boXplorer
to make
it work!
8.
Make a
CD-RW
or DVD-R/RW
and copy
the "default.xbe"
of boXplorer
into the
root of
the CD
or DVD.
-If you
have trouble
with the
CD-RW
so that
your Xbox
won't
read it,
try to
put a
dummy
folder
on the
CD as
well,
and name
it "0dummy".
Just fill
this folder
with about
500 MB
of whatever
you find
on your
harddrive).
If you
still
have problems,
convert
everything
into a
Xiso before
burning
it to
the disc.
9. Now
you should
have a
disc that
will boot
you directly
into the
boXplorer.
Try if
your disc
works
by switching
on (!!)
your mod
and then
inserting
the CD
or DVD
and reboot
your machine.
10. If
everything
worked
fine you
are in
the boXplorer
program
now and
you can
see the
contents
of your
C: drive.
Simply
click
on "1evolution.xbe"
to use
your Evolution
X.
Your Xbox
is now
safe for
Xbox live.
You can
install
Xbox LIVE
on your
harddrive
(with
modchip
off) and
it will
not destroy
your evolution
dashboard.
Everytime
you want
to use
your EvolutionX
dashboard,
just switch
on the
mod and
insert
the boot
disc.
